I began my modern flute studies at the age of 8 years old in Tenerife's Professional Conservatory, where I have finished with Cum Laude (Canary Islands Superior Conservatory 2007). During this period I have played as guest soloist in the Canary Islands Young Talents Festival and I was part of the Tenerife Symphonic Orchestral Academy for 7 years, where I learned the basics of orchestral practice, thanks to the soloists from this Orchestra (Hyeri Yoon as Flute teacher, Timothy Porwitt as Bassoonist - Chamber Music Teacher).
After, I had the opportunity to go to Paris to do a Master with Philippe Lesgourgues and Vicens Prats (solo flute from Paris Orchestra) and I did a Master in Piccolo with one of my best teachers Pierre Dumail (piccolo solo from the Paris Opera Orchestra). During my period in Paris I was guest soloist with Allegro Orchestra for two times and with the piccolo with Saint Maur des Fossés Wind Band Orchestra.
I have received numerous masterclasses from different flutists as: János Bálint (MusicHochschule Detmold during one year), Trevor Wye, Claude Lefebvre, Robert Winn, Jaime Martín, Julia Gallego, Magdalena Martínez, Emily Beynon, Vincent Corvrint, Kersten McKall (last three from Royal Concertgebouw Orkest, Amsterdam).
In 2010 I won the second prize in piccolo speciality in the Young Flutist International Competition in Paris.
During my period of studies I have worked with Youth Orchestras as Nederlandse Jeugd Orkest and with Professional Orchestras as Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, Tenerife Symphonic Orchestra, Gran Canaria Philarmonic Orchestra, Tenerife Film Music Orchestra, Tenerife Chamber Orchestra, etc.
From 2010, I started to specialize in historical flutes with my indubitable best teacher Marten Root in Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I have been also coached by such a great professionals as Richard Egarr, Jed Wentz, Karl Kaizer, Marc Hantaï, Lisa Beznosiuk, Rachel Brown, Frank Theuns, Jan de Winne, Alfredo Bernardini, Teunis van der Zwart, Walter van Hauwe, Menno van Delft, Sophie Gent, Viola de Hoog, Johan Hofmann among others. I own a Bachelor in baroque flute and a Master in classical & romantic flutes in Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
As Orchestral experience with period instruments we find: Ensemble Pygmalion, Holland Baroque, Nederlandse Bach Vereniging Orkest, Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, Bach Orchestra of the Netherlands, Yokohama Baroque Orchestra - Japan, Orchestra del Montsalvat - Barcelona, Nederlandse Blazers Ensemble, Florilegium Musicum, Bell'Arte Frankfurt RheinMain Orchestra, NJO XIX Century Orchestra and as Guest soloist with Sweelinck Baroque Orkest.
I am glad to have been part of The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Academy in London for the year 2014 with projects with different conductors as Sir Simon Rattle, François Xavier Roth and Semyon Bychkov.
Either as a soloist & orchestral player, I have a big chamber music experience with ensembles as Intercontinental Ensemble (tour in Mexico, November 2013), Divertimenti Consort and Il Canarino Ensemble (selected for Brugge & Utrecht Early Music Fringe Festival 2014), Les Vestales Trio (selected as Young Talent in Paris and Utrecht Fringe Festival 2015), In Melodic Style Duo (Tour in Japan in August 2015), Exquisito Quintet.
